WELCOME OUR NEW BOARD MEMBER
Napoleon Carroll Sr.
Napoleon "Nap" Carroll Sr. is a retired NASA official who served as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for the Kennedy Space Center (KSC). He had a long career at NASA, starting as a co-operative education student in 1973.
Throughout his career at NASA, Carroll held several significant positions. He was appointed KSC's CFO on May 11, 1998, and was responsible for developing and implementing KSC's financial systems and for advising the center director on economic matters. He also served as the Executive Director of the Cape Canaveral Spaceport Management Office and as acting CFO at Stennis Space Center. Earlier in his career, he worked at NASA Headquarters and was chief of the Shuttle and Engineering Development Resources Management Office.
Carroll has been recognized with awards, including the KSC Equal Opportunity Award and a NASA Exceptional Service Medal. He also participated in community initiatives, serving as the Combined Federal Campaign chairperson for KSC in 2004. Additionally, he co-authored an article on the use of the Six Sigma management tool.
